Westnoken – The Papua Provincial Public Offices (PUPPR) invested about $150 billion to repair road infrastructure ahead of the implementation of the Biak Cendrawasih Bay Project (STC) on November 24 2023. The Government of the Biak Nomphor Region in cooperation with the Coordinated Government of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs Papua Treaty and the Central Committee pushed forward the Implementation of Sundarwasih Teluk Cell (STC) plan in Biak Nomphor district with DAK support worth IDR 50 billion and more for maintenance and paving.
The Autonomous Private Infrastructure (DTI) Fund amounts to IDR 100 billion Papua Provincial PUPR Office Amos Wenda M. Hume said in a statement on Monday in Biak. The Pope Regional Government and the PUPR Ministry acknowledged the road support in Biak Nomvur District to make the Biak STC Upgrade 2023 a success. Amos observed on the ground that the road infrastructure repair process in Biak Nomvur District was progressing to completion before the opening of the STC on 24 November. And the Amyas-Dobo-Sorindiweri area of Supiori is now operational in the aforementioned Amos Wenda.
Acting Governor of Papua Ridwan Rodalamon acknowledged that many efforts have been made to implement the Biak STC project especially in cooperation with BPJN and the Papua River Region Office of the Papua Ministry in building road infrastructure. Amos admitted that the community was very enthusiastic about supporting STC through Biak Nomfors visits to some of STCs host areas such as Sarmi Warubin and Yabin Regency Island. Amos expressed his hope that STC BIAC would be able to operate successfully and smoothly and bring tourists and the local economy as beneficiaries.
Earlier Biak Nomfor Regent Harry Nap highlighted the construction of strategic infrastructure to support the STC Road which has been partially completed at 100 percent with the main area 93 percent completed and the bulk reaching 71 percent. He said the entire infrastructure will facilitate 100 percent fulfillment of STC requirements by November 7 2023. It was highlighted yesterday that STC program performers such as Indonesian Dance Parade Grand Dances and Hot Stone Walking Areas or Apen Bayeren are ready to entertain STC visitors.
