Westnoken – Acting Governor of East Kalimantan, Akmal Malik, expressed his deep condolences for the TNI soldier from Kutai Kartanegara Pratu Sandy Primandana who died in a gun battle with the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua.
“Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rojiun, we have lost one of the nation’s best sons,” said Akmal Malik in Samarinda, Monday. The East Kalimantan Provincial Government expresses its condolences for the passing of the deceased who died in the line of duty in Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains, on Thursday, November 30 2023. “Hopefully the deceased will find the best place in the sight of Allah and the family left behind will be given patience and fortitude,” said Akmal.
Private Sandy Primandana is a member of the Mobile Security Task Force of the 411/Pandawa Rider Mechanized Infantry Battalion. Pratu Sandy died while protecting the sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, becoming one of two TNI soldiers who died in the incident. Pratu Sandy’s body was buried at the Bukit Biru Heroes’ Cemetery, Tenggarong, on Saturday (2/11) evening, after arriving at APT Pranoto Samarinda Airport on the same day.
The final welcoming and honoring ceremony was led by Korem 091/ASN Commander Brigadier General TNI Yudhi Prasetiyo. Akmal Malik stated that he would visit the funeral home. He asked the family of the deceased to remain steadfast and patient “Private Sandy is a warrior who has sacrificed his body and soul for the sake of the nation and state. God willing, he will be husnul khotimah,” he said.
